Natural cleaner
Saphir Médaille d'Or 100% natural cleaner.
This cleaner and stain remover is from vegetal origin perfect for removing old waxes, dirt and other resins on leather. This cleaner is a natural alternative to Saphir Renomat and therefore a little easier / less aggressive on the leather. This makes Saphir Natural Cleaner better suited for your weekly shoe cleaning and care routine. The cleaner also has a relatively neutral smell making it more pleasant to work with. Saphir Médaille d'Or natural cleaner is suitable for most smooth leathers such as calfskin, cordovan and oiled leather types.
Our recommendation:
If you are looking for an effective cleaner that you can use bi-weekly to clean your shoes and remove old shoe polish Saphir Natural cleaner is the way to go. It is simply slightly less aggressive dissolving old shoe polish. The fumes and smells coming from Saphir MDO natural cleaner are also a lot milder and therefore the product is more pleasant to use (indoors). If you are looking for a product to effectively strip your shoes from any old shoe polish or to remove hars oily stains from the leather we recommend using Saphir Renomat. In either case be sure to work in a well ventilated room to avoid breathing in too much of the solvent fumes.

How to use
Saphir natural cleaner is perfect to use to remove dirt and old shoe polish. For example, if you want to remove a synthetic layer of shoe wax from your shoes, you can do this well with this Cleaner. After that you can provide your shoes with a fresh natural wax layer.
Tip: To ensure that the leather of your shoe reacts correctly to the natural cleaner, we recommend that you first apply a small test amount to an inconspicuous area of the shoe.
For a treatment, you need:
• Saphir natural cleaner
• Cotton cloth (eg old t-shirt) or
• Saphir applicator cloth
1. Hold the cloth over the opening of the Cleaner bottle and turn the cloth and bottle in one movement so that the cloth absorbs the Cleaner. (Tip! Not much cleaner is needed to clean the entire shoe, so start with a small amount).
2. Clean the shoe with Cleaner by rubbing it over the leather with small circular movements. In most cases, two turns over one spot is enough to remove the old shoe polish. The cloth will get dirty / dark from the old layers of shoe polish quite quickly. Don't be alarmed by this, because this is normal and also the intention.
3. Wipe the shoes dry briefly after the treatment. Let the shoes dry for 5 minutes before continuing with, for example, a shoe cream or shoe wax.
